Donations are Open

My campaign is now accepting secured online donations. If you go to this page on my main Web site, you can securely send your donation in just minutes.

Just a few things to note as we throw open the door for secured online donations, we will do things by the book here. We are obligated to follow state laws on campaign financing. State law requires this campaign to report the name, mailing address, job title, profession, and name of employer or employer’s specific field for each individual whose contribution is in excess of $50 for an election.  We also cannot allow registered lobbyists from making donations during the legislative session.  Corporate contributions are prohibited.  In addition, we cannot accept checks donated from individuals under age 18.

If your contribution exceeds $50, the following information needs to be provided and e-mailed to me ( with your donation, which, again, is required under NC campaign law:

First name:
Last name:
Street Address:
ZIP Code:
Employer/Business Name:
County/City & State of employment:

Now that we’ve gotten the “P’s and Q’s” out of the way, let me say this…fundraising will be a part of the campaign but it will not be the central focus. Even if we only raise a dollar, my message of putting Guilford County’s children first is more of a priority than fundraising. And judging by the fact that we’re about to hit 10,000 visitors to the website/blog, the message of change for our children, clearly, is resonating among county residents.

We can do better. We will do better. And next year, we will put our children first.

Many thanks for your anticipated support.

E.C. 🙂
