Deena Hayes as special guest in upcoming Glenwood movie party

GCS Board member Deena Hayes is the “special guest” at an upcoming movie & discussion on gangs. The event is scheduled for Thursday, January 31st, from 7pm-9:30pm at The HIVE, 1214 Grove Street, Greensboro (near downtown, the GSO Coliseum and UNCG, between Glenwood & McCormick).

Sponsored by the Glenwood Neighborhood Association, the fund for Democratic Communities and Grace Community Church.

This is the movie guests will be watching and discussing: Bastards of the Party, a film shown on HBO. The film deals with the roots of gang violence. It’s not for the faint of heart, as you’ll see in this YouTube clip below (warning: graphic language):
